Facial lines are caused by the repeated use of facial muscles during expression e.g. squinting and frowning. These lines can be softened by using small amounts of Botulinum toxin A to reduce facial muscle movement.

Botulinum toxin A, a naturally occurring protein, is the active ingredient used in anti-wrinkle injections. It blocks the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. They are a convenient way to gently relax your muscles and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, giving you a fresh and rejuvenated look.

 

Renervation is a natural process which occurs after 3-6 months which means that the effect on the muscle is temporary and retreatment is required for long term effect.  However this often varies from person to person and your aesthetician should be able to advise based on your individual circumstances.
